Wow, I haven’t been here for awhile. Its just that life gets in the way when your having so much fun. The last few months have been a blur feels like.
A huge Greek wedding, new features in our back office with SendOutCards, new features in our card editor and our new Gratitude Challenge has been a HUGE success.
With all these new features, I have been focusing learning and teaching others on how gratitude can change your life. I love being able to share this and show others how being grateful for the little things in life can make you a better person.
I recently created a list of everyone that is special to me and my family.
Those that are not seen very much but mean a great deal. Like our Pharmacist. You need medication when you are sick and don’t really think to thank that person, but you should. How about the clerk at your local grocery store. I know her by name, she takes care of me every time I go through the check out lane. She knows my name and even my daughters name and what we like. I love that hometown feel. How about the Pet Store. They help me so much in choosing the right food for my dogs and treats too. They know me by name. I say thank you but a card would do a better job.
So the moral of this blog is, don’t forget who you are grateful for. Because one day you won’t have the chance too.

There were a number of announcements that I am OVER-THE-TOP excited about. Unless you have NO interest in building your SOC business with greater ease, keep reading! This is from the Executive Retreat in Hawaii.

NEW DASHBOARD FEATURE
There is a NEW really cool feature on the Dashboard located on your Main Menu. Click on the little house icon that shows up in between the two big circles. This will give you a report of MDs you have personally sponsored since January 5. It tells you whether or not they are CAB Qualified and Q Qualified. In other words, you can now easily get a report of who needs to gather two subscribing customers so you can get paid your Customer Acquisition Bonus (CAB) and whether or not they are Qualified to receive their commissions and leadership bonuses. This is something we want to help a new MD do within the first 48 hours.
The new Dashboard on your main menu is still undergoing some programming. If it does not reflect your current activities, don’t worry about it. SOC has accurate records, and the Dashboard will accurately reflect that once the complex programming is completed for this new tool. SOC appreciates your patience as programmers are working on this.
MUCH EASIER TO QUALIFY AND GET PAID
Retroactive to January 5, 2012, when a new MD sponsors a Preferred Customer ($31 subscription), that will count as TWO customers, so they can get their Q (become qualified to receive commissions and leadership bonuses) with just ONE $31 subscribing customer. Of course, they can still also qualify by gathering two $9.80 subscribing customers.
Retroactive to January 5, 2012, when your personally-sponsored MD signs up for a $31 subscription for themselves, this will count as one of the two subscribing customers THEY need in order for YOU (their sponsor) to get paid your CAB. In other words, for the purpose of THIS qualification, SOC is allowing your new distributor to be counted as one of the two customers needed in order for the CAB bonus to be paid to you.
The CAB will be paid the same day that it is earned. Be sure you are signed up for electronic deposit so funds can be immediately deposited into your checking account. Click here for the direct deposit form (to fax to SOC) for US residents.
ASEND MAGAZINE JUST GOT BETTER!
SendOutCards can now CUSTOMIZE the ASEND Magazine with YOUR information. I have a copy of a magazine they customized with my name and picture on the front and back cover. The front lower left corner has my headshot, and above that it reads, “THE BEST BUSINESS DECISION I EVER MADE”. The back cover has the same photo of me, plus my name, phone, email, and SOC web addresses. You will be able to buy these customized magazines in bulk and will also eventually be able to send a single magazine with a card. How cool is that!!!!! I don’t know the date that this will be ready, but I am sure that SOC will announce it when the time comes.
CAMPAIGNS ON STEROIDS!
SOC has just announced that they will soon be offering fully-developed campaigns that will help professionals to do a better job of building relationships and staying top-of-mind. My best guess is that this will be rolled out at our June convention. (I asked Kody if we could share this now, and he said yes!) $500 CHALLENGE JUST GOT EASIER!
With the changes that were just announced about how much easier it is to get Qualified, it makes it even easier for us to win the special bonus challenge. I’m at Sea today, but wanted to log on and make sure you all heard some of the secrets and things coming that we saw today. We are all in the right place …. be ready for the WAVE coming.
All Senior Managers on this cruise will be added to beta test of business cards, and they should be on the site in 2-3 weeks for all. They added a 3rd paper that is the glossy coated so you can pick from three choices.
1. We saw another PREMIUM card, printed with the high quality pearl paper, and an upgraded envelope that will be another option.
2. Those of you that were around back when we went to the new system (about 1-2 years ago) you saw a greatly improved contact manager….well the system as you know it will stay like it is, but we have gone to a HIGH TECH SPECIAL trained technical support and programming that has developed the wheel we saw at convention and before year end we should see the wheel in action ….
DRUM ROLL…. Send Out Cards Version 2.0 is coming fast.
3. In SOC 2.0 you will see things like Photo albums, with the ability to fix red eye and enhance your photos for the album you are building. You will see a “shopping Cart” that will allow you to put multiple gifts into one box. You will also see an upgraded data base with all the things we’ve asked for. They system will also SUGGEST, gifts to customers that ordered gifts much like Amazon does, when they say you bought this … you might also like this.
4. In addition, it looks like the system will be HTML5, so no more issues with Updating Adobe flash, YIPPPEE)

Great!! We are soon to have business cards in our catalog.
Your business cards are little billboards that you can pass out every where you meet people. The more you pass out those business cards the more exposure you will receive.
Imagine the cost of a billboard. $1500 or more for a month? That is probably cheap. A billboard does not move. It usually can only be seen during the day. And by those who drive by that specific billboard.
Business cards can be handed out every day all day long. And you can meet those people face to face and say “hello”. They can meet you and see who YOU are and shake their hand. A billboard is so impersonal and cold. Its does not talk or greet someone.

You can get a business card and pass them out at events and Chamber business mixers. You can add them to local places where you can tack them to cork boards.
For example, our local Winn Dixie offers a board that you can tack your local messages too. So on your way out of the super market, you can see what local business are in your area. Its the best deal. So look at your local businesses. Ace Hardware, Publix, Winn Dixie to name a few.
Oh and don’t forget your local Chamber. That is the best place to meet new businesses and network with locals.

If you are a mom, then you know the trials and tribulations of just trying to send one card, let alone 10 or 50 and now imagine sending those birthday cards all online.
I know that in my world, my day begins getting up and getting Lena ready for school. Then I take her to school. Come home and do some laundry and dishes before I get ready to go to work. Granted I work from home, but that just happened the last few years. And then I go to work, then pick up Lena, do homework, more housework, walk the dog, go to the grocery store and then cook dinner. Karate is now on schedule too. So that will take up 2 nights a week for sure.
The last thing on my mind is sending greeting cards to my friends and family, let alone my customers.
Its really exhausting what we do as Moms and how far we go to make it through the day.

This rings so true to me. I want the freedom to be with my family every second of the day. I don’t want to miss anything. I want to be there and help when I am needed. Be there when a teacher calls. Or she gets a tummy ache.
